Lindsey Johnson
Company Dancer

Lindsey Johnson is starting her first season with Ballet Papillon. She is very excited to continue her journey as a developing artist under Katina Kumar. This past year she was in Berlin, Germany, dancing with the DART Dance Company in their training program and a guest with the company. Lindsey graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2025 from the Alonzo King Lines BFA Program partnered with Dominican University in San Francisco, California. All over the world, she is exploring what it means to fully embody dance and become a unique artist. Lindsey grew up in Pittsburgh, PA under the instruction of Patricia McKeown at The Dance Company for the Performing Arts (DCPA). It was here that her passion and potential was harnessed to push her beyond the studio setting. She continued her studies outside of DCPA with summer programs all over the country including the Boston Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School, Chautauqua Institute, and others. More recently, she has explored other styles in different countries including Ballet BC 44 Summer Intensive, Pina Bausch Repertory Lab SHARE Study, DART Summer Sensations Intensive, Limón’s Professional Program, Hubbard Street, WHIM W’HIM, and others. In high school, Lindsey studied at both Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Not only is she forging her own path but continuing to connect with the next generation of young artists through teaching. She shares her experiences and understanding of what it takes to become the best artist, the best dancer, the best person, and leave one's mark on the world through the limitless mediums of expression.
